Update log

— Early Access launch — build 0.184.x

Pax Autocratica entered Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store at $29.99 with a 17% launch discount. Single-player only. Windows PC. Steam lists full controller support, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.

The launch build is the baseline every page on this site is measured against. In-game screens published by Multiverse show build 0.184.0.196275, which is the version our database entries were read from.

What shipped: the colony layer (ten job types, per-citizen hourly rates, research and policy at Victory Square and the Command Center), the expedition layer (Tyris System star map, Expedition Progress and Enemy Strength), the Core Fragment roguelite layer (twelve collection slots, Core Seeds), and the prisoner capture and conversion system that connects them.

What did not ship: co-op, a settled balance pass, and a usable developer console — the standard console is deliberately locked in public builds to prevent engine crashes.

— Prologue released (free, standalone)

Pax Autocratica: Prologue launched as a free standalone Steam app covering Sector One, with its own build and its own save data. It received hotfixes across its run, including an ultra-widescreen fix.

The Prologue is a different Steam application (ID 4107120) from the paid game, which is the source of the recurring "demo vs prologue" confusion. It remains the free way to evaluate the game.

Known issues reported against it during its run included crashes during the Elysia Frostfield decisive battle, an ultra-widescreen display problem that received a hotfix, and assorted UI reports.
