How to prepare for a large-scale closing fight

This is generic-but-sound preparation derived from confirmed systems, not from encounter knowledge:

  1. Do not bank on crowd-control working on the top-tier enemy. Drone EMP's own text says Sector Overlords are immune to its disable. Assume the big one ignores your best trick.
  2. Fill your twelve core slots toward one coherent build. A set-piece is where a half-assembled tag combo gets exposed.
  3. Bring troops you can afford to spend. Using them as shields is an explicitly supported tactic.
  4. Turn the upscaler on beforehand. This is the densest projectile scene in the build and the worst possible place to discover your framerate. Settings.
  5. Back up your save first. Given the crash reports, this is five seconds well spent. Where saves live.
