PAX AUTOCRATICACompendium
A totalitarian colony sprawling under enormous alien tendrils in the Tyris System

Pax Autocratica, documented properly

A colony sim where you rule by fear or by comfort, welded to a first-person roguelite where you personally lead the raids. This site tracks what the game actually does — real numbers read out of the build, sourced, dated, and corrected when patches land.

What Pax Autocratica actually is

Two games share one save file, and neither is a side mode.

The first is a colony sim. You place buildings, assign citizens to jobs with per-hour output rates, research policies, and manage a population whose mood is a live variable rather than a decoration. The second is a first-person roguelite shooter. You personally drop into the Tyris System with a squad, collect Core Fragments that rewrite how your weapons behave, and try to get home with prisoners.

The link between them is the prisoner. Enemies you weaken can be dragged back and turned into citizens — which means the shooter feeds the colony's labour pool, and the colony's workshops arm the shooter. Play either half badly and the other half stalls.

The loop, in the order you will meet it

  1. Stabilise the colony. Food first. The Low Food Reserves alert points at the Kitchen, not the farm — a full greenhouse with nobody cooking still starves you.
  2. Assign by rate, not by vibe. Every citizen shows a per-hour number for each job. A miner at 164/H and a miner at 13/H are the same person icon.
  3. Launch an expedition. Everyone you take stops working at home. Removing the only cook is how a successful raid loses you the colony.
  4. Collect Core Fragments. Twelve slots. Build toward tags that combine rather than grabbing the biggest number on offer.
  5. Bring people back alive. Explosives kill what you wanted to capture. Prisoners need cells before they need doctrine.
  6. Convert, assign, repeat. A converted enemy is a citizen with traits and needs — including the bad traits.

Real numbers, not vibes

Multiverse has published system names but very few system values. Most sites fill that gap by guessing. We fill it by reading the build and telling you which screen each number came from.

Core FragmentRarityWhat it actually does
Retaliation CoreGreenGain 1 Retaliation Guard every 10s, up to 1 stack. When taking damage, consume 1 Guard to reduce damage taken by 25% and deal 400+200% weapon DPS as retaliation damage to enemies within 4m of the attacker.
Drone EMPPurpleDrones are equipped with EMP bombs that deal 300 damage and disable elite and boss enemy abilities for 6s. Cooldown: 15s. Sector Overlords are immune to this effect.
Toxic-Drone CoreRedWhen Toxic Fog damages an enemy, summons 1 temporary Drone for 20s. It has 50% Drone stats. Cooldown: 30s.

Same approach for weapons: the Nebula Assault Rifle E36-V is 46 shooting damage, 30 magazine, 100 effective range, 75 stability, 5% crit rate. See the full stat block.

Quick answers

Is Pax Autocratica multiplayer or co-op?

Not today. It shipped single-player only. Multiverse has said 4-player co-op is a target for the Early Access period, before 1.0, with no date attached. Full answer.

Is it on PS5, Xbox or Mac?

No. Windows PC only, via Steam and the Epic Games Store. No macOS, no Linux, no console version announced. Platform breakdown.

Is there a free version?

Yes — Pax Autocratica: Prologue is a free standalone release from December 2025 covering Sector One. What carries over.

Is this Earth From Another Sun?

It is. Same Steam app, renamed, with the MMO structure and the Web3 economy stripped out. What changed.

Is it turn-based?

No. The colony runs in real time on a day clock you can pause, and combat is a real-time first-person shooter.
