How to read these

Rarity — frame colour. Green, purple and red have been observed, in ascending prominence. Multiverse has not published a rarity table, so treat the ordering as observed rather than documented.
Tags — the mechanic that decides whether a core functions. A core keyed to Toxic Fog does nothing without a Toxic Fog source.
Stack cap — shown in-game as 0 → 1/1. A capped core does not scale by taking it twice.
Immunity clauses — Drone EMP explicitly excludes Sector Overlords. These clauses decide whether something is a boss tool.

There is no basis for a ranking yet. What is verifiable is that tag-dependent cores are worthless without their tag sources, which makes context-free rankings actively misleading.

What do Core Seeds do?

They are a currency granted after an expedition ends. One observed fragment stated it grants two Core Seeds at the end of the Expedition.
