What is Pax Autocratica?
A darkly satirical hybrid of a totalitarian colony sim and a first-person roguelite shooter, developed and published by Multiverse. You build and rule a colony in the Tyris System, then personally lead expeditions into first-person combat.
Is Pax Autocratica multiplayer or co-op?
No. It is single-player only at launch. Multiverse has committed to 4-player co-op during Early Access, before the 1.0 release, with no date announced.
Is Pax Autocratica out yet?
Yes — it entered Early Access on 10 August 2026 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
How much does Pax Autocratica cost?
$29.99 USD, currently $24.89 with the 17% launch discount. Steam’s Early Access notes state the price will increase at full release.
Is Pax Autocratica free?
The full game is paid. Pax Autocratica: Prologue is a separate free standalone release covering Sector One.
Is Pax Autocratica on PS5, Xbox, Mac or Linux?
No. It is Windows PC only, via Steam and the Epic Games Store. No console, macOS or Linux version has been announced.
Does Pax Autocratica work on Steam Deck?
Valve has not assigned a compatibility rating and the game does not list Linux support, so Deck behaviour through Proton is unverified.
Is Pax Autocratica turn-based?
No. The colony runs in real time on a day clock you can pause, and combat is a real-time first-person shooter.
Does Pax Autocratica support Chinese?
Yes — Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese are both listed, alongside English (with full audio), French and German. The game is known in Chinese as 暗星铁律.
Are there mods or console commands?
The developers deliberately lock the standard developer console in public builds to prevent engine crashes. Community mod use exists, with mod managers pointed at the game’s Mods folder, but there is no official mod tooling.
What are the system requirements?
Minimum: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel i5-8600 / Ryzen 5 1600X, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1060 6GB at 1080p (GTX 1070 8GB at 1440p), DirectX 11, 40 GB storage. Recommended: i7-8700K / Ryzen 5 3600 and an RTX 2060 Super.
Is this Earth From Another Sun?
Yes — the same Steam application, renamed and redesigned. The MMO structure, guilds, PvP and the Solana-based token economy were removed.
Does Pax Autocratica have NFTs or crypto?
No. That was part of the previous Earth From Another Sun design and was removed.
How long is Early Access?
Multiverse expects approximately two years.
Is it like Helldivers 2?
Only in tone. Helldivers 2 is a co-op third-person shooter. This is a single-player colony sim welded to a first-person roguelite, with no co-op today and no connection to Arrowhead’s game.
What is the best Core Fragment?
There is no published core list, so any ranking is guesswork. What matters mechanically is tags — a core keyed to Toxic Fog does nothing without a Toxic Fog source, regardless of its rarity.
Why do my captured enemies keep dying?
Because explosives and heavy kinetic weapons kill the targets you are trying to take alive. Use capture ammunition and a low-damage finisher, and start the capture after the surrounding threat is handled.
Where are the save files?
Under %LOCALAPPDATA% on Windows, not in the Steam install folder. Back that folder up before troubleshooting or installing mods.
